TIP OF THE MONTH - WINTER DRIVING

Cold winter weather takes a toll on your car, pickup, or van. Here are a few tips that may keep you from trouble.

• Check Tire Pressure. Cold weather lowers air pressure.

• Warm Up Before You Drive. This allows the oil to circulate and build up oil pressure in your engine, before you drive.

• Check Your Windshield Wiper Fluid. Don't wait till rain or snow, periodically check your windshield wiper motor to be sure it is working. Also be sure your windshield wiper fluid bottle is full. Don't wait till you are driving in slush or mud to find out you can't clean the windshield.

• Drive Slower. For your safety, in bad road conditions, drive in the right (slower) lane whenever possible.
